HBCF provide transportation for Hunter breast cancer clients throughout their active treatment. This transport can be to and from medical appointments including specialist consultations, check-ups, treatments and scans.

Strict Infection Control
Your health and safety is our number one priority. We ensure strict infection control and cleaning policies are adhered to. Masks and hand sanitiser are available for use in each car and our drivers ensure the inside of the car and common touch points are sanitised between every client.
Reliable & Friendly
Transport services are provided by either trained volunteers or a local professional hire car company ensuring you are encounter a friendly team who are reliable and committed to ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
INDIVIDUAL TRANSFERS
We understand the high risks associated with infection and disease for the breast cancer community and take every step possible to minimise unnecessary contact and exposure. This is why we have implemented a policy that ensure no ride-shares or communal transfers.
BRING SUPPORT
If you have a family member or friend that would like to accompany you to your medical appointment, we can arrange for them to travel with you – they will need to be picked up and dropped off again at the same location. Just let us know at the time of booking if this is something you require.
Prefer to drive yourself?
For clients who prefer to drive themselves or have a family member or friend take them to medical appointment, HBCF can provide fuel vouchers to assist with the cost of transport.

You can complete the online service request form, email our team, or call the HBCF office to arrange your transport.
Do you provide transport outside the Hunter region?
Transport is available within the Hunter. If you need to travel further, contact our team to discuss your options.
How much notice do I need to give to book transport?
We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability. However, we will do our best to assist with urgent requests.
