The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation’s Metastatic Support Group provides a safe, welcoming space for people living with metastatic or de novo metastatic breast cancer to connect, learn and feel supported.
This group exists because living with metastatic breast cancer can be isolating and overwhelming. Here, you are surrounded by people who truly understand what you are going through, supported by experienced clinical facilitators who offer guidance and care.
Purpose-built
This group is specifically for people living with metastatic or de novo metastatic breast cancer, providing a space where experiences, concerns and realities are shared and understood.
Clinically guided
Sessions are facilitated by a psycho-oncologist and a breast cancer specialist nurse, ensuring conversations are supported by professional knowledge as well as compassion.
Balanced format
The group alternates between education-focused sessions and peer support discussions, providing both practical information and emotional connection.
Peer connection
Participants have the opportunity to meet others who truly understand what it is like to live with metastatic breast cancer, reducing isolation and fostering mutual support.
Flexible access
Participants can take part in person or online, making it easier to stay connected regardless of health, energy levels or travel limitations.
