Terms & Conditions

By registering to fundraise for the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) and the Kaden Centre, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Approval & Registration

• All fundraising activities must be registered with HBCF and approved in writing before promotion begins.

• HBCF & the Kaden Centre reserves the right to decline or withdraw support for any activity that does not align with our values, mission, or policies.

2. Legal & Compliance

• You are responsible for ensuring your fundraising activity complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including raffle/lottery permits, food handling, alcohol licensing and public health requirements.

• You are required to arrange your own public liability insurance if necessary. HBCF & the Kaden Centre does not provide insurance coverage for third-party fundraising events.

3. Branding & Promotion

• You may only use HBCF and the Kaden Centre's name and logo with prior approval.

• Messaging must reflect the organisations values of warmth, care, and community support.

4. Financial Management

• You are responsible for all costs associated with running your fundraising activity. HBCF and the Kaden Centre cannot reimburse expenses or underwrite losses.

• All net funds raised must be transferred to HBCF within 14 days of your fundraising activity.

• Tax-deductible receipts can only be issued by HBCF and the Kaden Centre and only where donations meet Australian Taxation Office requirements.

5. Donations & Receipting

• HBCF can issue receipts for donations of $2 or more made directly to HBCF.

• Payments made for event tickets, auctions, raffles, or items purchased are not tax-deductible.

• You must provide full donor details (name, address, email) to HBCF or the Kaden Centre if a tax receipt is required.

6. Risk & Safety

• You must ensure the safety of all participants, volunteers, and attendees at your event.

• HBCF accepts no liability for personal injury, property loss, or damage arising from your fundraising activity.

7. Use of Funds

• All funds raised must be directed solely to HBCF and the Kaden Centre to support our programs and services.

• Funds cannot be used for personal, business or political purposes.

8. Media & Publicity

• HBCF may share information, stories, and photos about your fundraising activity through our marketing channels.

• By providing photos, stories, or testimonials, you give permission for HBCF and the Kaden Centre to use these materials in future marketing.

9. Termination of Agreement

• HBCF and the Kaden Centre reserves the right to withdraw support for your activity if these terms are not adhered to, or if the activity poses reputational, legal or financial risk.
